1. Global Expansion of Support Links

This is not new, but it is now disbursed to 18 additional countries.

Basically, the support link is the feature provided by Google for those businesses which are listed in Google My Business. In which you can add a donation link, gift card link or both to your profile.

Still, it was initially available for only a few countries including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, but now Google has expanded in more than 18 countries, including Japan, Spain, Italy & others.

But now Google has made a partnership with PayPal and GoFundMe for donations.

2. More control over food delivery

During the lockdown, lots of restaurants and food delivery services are accused of the unethical task such as taking additional chargers.

Google is now going to give more controls to restaurants. Now the delivery services are associated with the profile & the ability to identify a preferred food-delivery provider.

3. More Attributes, Such As “No Contact Delivery” & “Curbside Pickup.”

In the last few months of Global pandemic, due to lockdown, almost all the business has made few changes to their business profile. Those are more than 200 million edits mainly about special hours and temporary closures.

Especially food delivery services & restaurant business has changed their dining attributes as “take out” & “delivery“, in order to make it more convenient, Google has introduced two more attributes such as “no contact delivery” and “curbside pickup.”

4. Online Classes & Virtual Appointments

Now businesses can add new attributes like “online classes,” “online appointments,” or “online estimates.” so that company can be quickly & effectively swift from their in-person and offline services.

Even Google also announced that they are going to make those attributes more visible in Search and Maps. 

Now it is imperative to use them, it will help you to increase your search ranking.

5. Add Secondary Hours

Now, most of the businesses are going to reopen & for those who have secondary hours; Google introduced new options for them. 

You can now add special hours for senior citizens so that they can make the purchase more convenient & feel secure.
